Welcome back everyone!
Next Wednesday, 9/2/09, UAEM we will be holding our first even of the fall semester at Hume Commons, 7:30pm. Join us for some delicious food, great company, and a quick introduction to UAEM’s mission. Afterward, stick around to talk to the group and find out how you can get involved in the access to medicines campaign taking place here at UF! Hope to see you there!
Hey everyone! Here are the minutes from the last meeting of the semester 
-Updates:
-Laura, Gloria and Aleks will go around to secretaries tomorrow to request that the survey be fowarded to the researcher listserv!
-Tomorrow meet Laura at Century Tower at 11:40 to give her $5 for the room fees.
-Saturday April 25th: potluck at Laura’s house at 730 pm. Please bring the food items you have signed up for. Email Aleks or Gloria if you have forgotten what you promised to bring!
-Aerial photo: Wednesday April 22nd at 11:30. Slight changes: will have posters instead of original idea. Tuesday at 6pm, Laura, Tara and Aleks are meeting to work on the posters! Please let me know if you want to join 
-Tonight was Gloria’s last meeting, which we are all very saddened by, but we are looking forward to next year’s UAEM events and getting more progress on the researcher survey. WE LOVE GLORIA DEARLY!!!

Here are the minutes from tonight’s meeting!
-The meeting with Day did not work out this week, so those of you who can, we are meeting tomorrow (Friday) at Century Tower at 1pm to walk over to Day’s office.
-We need to get the researcher stuff done before school ends. Laura will send out the room numbers of the secretaries of the various departments. Gloria, Laura and I will be going around to the various secretaries and reminding them to send around the email with the survey. Please let me know if you’d like to help out!
-Aerial photo at 11:30 on Wednesday April 22nd!Facebook event coming soon! We have a few ideas for what to spell out and we thought these two would be neat: ppl + Rx= and ppl-Rx=
We will hopefully also be having food at the event to attract people!
(Sidenotes: we need to map out where exactly this will take place, where we could take the picture from, and also bring chalk to map out where people have to stand!)
-Thursday April 23rd: potluck at Laura’s, Gloria’s or a bowling alley? Exact time/location TBA at next mtg!
-Baking party after next week’s mtg (at Laura’s) to make things for our bake sale on Friday. We have some ideas for recipes but let Laura know if you want to make something so we can get the ingredients together.

This past Thursday, we participated in a couple of really cool awareness events on campus- first with Recurso for a student org fair, and then with the One campaign for a mock refugee camp.

Hey everyone,
Here are the minutes from tonight’s meeting:
-We will be helping out at the Recurso Alternative Career Fair next Thursday. I do not know the exact time, but it will be sometime around 11am-3pm ish. I will send out exact times as soon as I know. It is taking place at the Colonnade and we will need people to help out so keep this in mind.
-We will also be helping out the with ONE campaign to raise awareness about important issues raised in the Millenium Development Goals. UAEM will be focusing on raising awareness about access to medicines (lack thereof, I guess). We need people to help out with this as well.
-We will be sending out a message over the list serve to sign up for time slots as soon as we have exact times.
-We are meeting either Monday or Tuesday at 7:15 on campus to work on posters/bulletin boards, etc. for both the Recurso and ONE event. EMAIL LAURA ASAP AND LET HER KNOW WHICH DAY WORKS BETTER FOR YOU!
-The researcher survey is in an on-line format and we will hopefully be sending that out to the various secretaries of departments soon. We would like to have the results back and analyzed within the next couple weeks.
-National Day of Action is taking place in a couple weeks. We will discuss this soon, after we organize everything for next week!
