Our Global Health fair was quite a success! Thanks go out to RECURSO, Human Rights Awareness on Campus, Student Global AIDS Campaign, the Virology Society, and Global Empowerment for making such amazing displays- we were so glad to meet/ reconnect with you all!

meeting minutes 9/30

Here are tonight’s meeting minutes:

-Finalized details for fair: Nov. 12th in the Plaza of the Americas between 11am-2pm.
-May try to set up night before
-Contact ONE, Recurso, SVS (Aleks); Engineers without Borders, Global Empowerment (Laura); SGAC (Celeste); Pre-Pharm (Christina); Invisible Children (Caitlyn); Human Rights Awareness (Fatima)
-Contact all above groups to meet with us Oct. 14th at 6pm in Reitz to discuss fair ideas.
-Poster-making for researcher outreach: This Friday, Oct. 2nd. Contact Christina for more info/work out details
-Any other progress from reaching out to department secretaries? Caitlyn with contact Nutritional Sciences and Public Health College secretaries
-Need 10 more people for Gator Growl clean-up. Please ask your friends!
-Dr. Melker coming in November; Clinica Verde speaker coming but not sure when yet.

Join your favorite group of UAEM-ers for a beautiful and relaxing float down the Ichetuknee!

We’ll meet on campus to carpool at 10am- just bring your swimsuit, $5.00 to enter the park, and maybe some sunscreen! If you’d like to tube, you can bring your own tube (awesome animal shaped ones are highly encouraged) or rent one on the way for about $5.
